Doha Film Institute is the umbrella organization for all of Qatar’s film initiatives. One of those initiatives, the annual Doha Tribeca Film Festival, showcases the best of Arab and international cinema.

  • Reported directly to the Managing Director and Executive Director of the Doha Tribeca Film Festival and managed budgets in excess of $2 million.

  • Oversaw all non-screening events, including:

    • Photography Exhibit for world-renowned photographer Brigitte Lacombe and documentarian Marian Lacombe.

    • Comedy Show for Ahmed Ahmed and the Just Like Us Comedians.

    • Open Mic Comedy Night for TEDxDoha.

    • Musical performance and outdoor screening with Nitin Sawhney who composed music for the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra to accompany the 1929 silent film A Throw of Dice.

  • Managed team of two coordinators and two production assistants.

  • Movie Premieres and Press Junkets: In concert with communication director, handled remarks and briefings for:

  • Film Development: Coordinated with directors, producers, studios and actors on all projects and development in:

 Tribeca Film Festival Founded in 2001 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff following the attacks on the World Trade Center to spur the economic and cultural revitalization of lower Manhattan.

  • Wrote and edited remarks for all speaking events and arranged all public appearances for co-founder.
